Nancy Chin brings nearly 20 years of experience as a successful executive function coach. She helps individuals—particularly those with high IQs who are struggling—develop essential skills to realize their full potential.
Nancy earned her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her understanding of organizing, planning, and creating effective systems draws on her extensive IT career and her experience as a mother of two. She managed IT projects and developed software and databases for major global corporations, including Bechtel Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, McDonnell Douglas, National Westminster Bank, Rabo Bank, and Wells Fargo.
Nancy began her coaching journey as a volunteer, working with at-risk youth in schools and hospitals. In 2005, she established Step By Step For Success and has spent nearly two decades refining her coaching methodologies. Many of Nancy’s clients have received clinical diagnoses of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, or other executive function challenges. She remains dedicated to serving this often-underserved population, helping them unlock their potential by creating individualized plans tailored to their unique strengths and challenges.
Outside of coaching, Nancy volunteers as a grant writer for The Berkeley Chess School and provides animal care at Sienna Ranch in Lafayette. She enjoys hiking, pickleball, swimming, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
