Time Management

“To think too long about doing a thing often becomes its undoing” – Eva Young

After your student has created physical organization in his life, the next step—time management—is essentially just organizing time and how it is spent. Knowing what needs to be accomplished and having a realistic, designated time to do so eliminates unnecessary stress and makes other tasks go more smoothly. Optimally Nancy will collaborate with teachers to get accurate expectations of the student, and from there help develop a fair schedule.

When it comes to homework, getting started is often the hardest part. Nancy will help your child cut down on procrastination where valuable minutes or even hours can be lost attempting to gear-up for the task at hand, instead of just doing it.

Skills of time management taught include:

  • Creating a realistic schedule
  • Breaking down large projects into manageable components
  • Prioritizing tasks and goals
  • Tracking personal progress
