Philosophy
Children should have time to play outside, participate in extra-curricular activities, get a good night’s sleep, and be able to spend quality time with the family. And yet, an increasing number of children, some even in elementary school, feel overwhelmed by school and homework. Many of these students are highly intelligent, but as they struggle to get through assignments, the hours add up. School should not be this hard.
How much time and effort is wasted or misused? What if those hours lost each day could be re-inserted into your child’s life? The goal of Step By Step is to help your bright, gifted student realize her full potential first in the classroom, and later in all areas of life by re-introducing a dependable, steady structure. It seems that more and more children are being branded with labels and learning disabilities, and prescribed medicine or simply ignored.
At Step By Step Nancy Chin provides a more holistic, enabling solution to help your child get focused and achieve personalized goals. Nancy works with students across a wide age spectrum from high schoolers to first graders. The earlier a student works with her and develops skills, the better; the benefits of being organized, having strong study skills, and being able to set and achieve personal goals are invaluable as one takes on more and more responsibilities and challenges.
How can my child learn to succeed?
